What is the WaPPenSalon?
The WaPPenSalon is all about football club logos. We render logos as high quality vector-based images which can be re-sized without loss of resolution. The logos are displayed on a clean background to avoid the appearance of pixelated edges when they are re-sized.

How can your club take part?
Simply send us an image file of your club logo. It should be a good quality image that clearly shows the detail of the logo. Photos taken with a digital camera or high resolution images from other sources (300 x 300 px) work best. We take these bitmap images and after re-drawing them using CorelDraw package them into ZIP files containing JPG, EPS, CDR, and AI versions of your logo. Once the work is done we send your club a copy of this archive for free.

What benefit does the club get?
The club gets a high quality rendition of its logo in multiple graphic formats for its own use. We display finished logos here with your club’s permission and participating clubs can download the logos they need for approved non-commercial, good-faith uses such as creating graphical links to club sites, display in season tables, or the announcement of upcoming matches and results. There is no more waiting for an image because participating clubs have agreed to make their logos available at the WaPPenSalon for this common type of use. We help make your club look good on the Internet, in print, and in any other presentation where your club logo appears.

Is there any cost or other requirement for the production of a logo?
The artwork is done for free. The only thing we require is permission to display your club logo here at the WaPPenSalon. This release should take place in an un-bureaucratic manner by way of E-Mail containing the following text:

The WaPPenSalon is entitled to display our club logo and to make it available for download for the purposes specified. All rights associated with the logo remain the sole property of the football club.

What does this mean?
Quite simply the WaPPenSalon would like to display your club logo and make it available for download for the following purposes:

* for use in graphical links to club sites
* for display in season tables
* for logo collectors

The use of any logo must be made in good faith. All rights associated with the logo stay solely with the football club.

Many clubs have already agreed to participate in order to make their logo quickly and easily available to other friendly associations. Logo downloads are only available to registered members of the WaPPenSalon.

How did this all begin?
For six years I have maintained the website of TSV Zollhaus e.V. Every now and then I needed the logos of other clubs for use in game announcements or season tables. Since I felt it was important to have good quality images for use on the site, I began to re-draw logos as I needed them and then make them available to clubs. The WaPPenSalon has grown out of this personal interest of mine. A number of associations have taken up my offer of a clean logo and supported the site through their participation.
