Data security at the WaPPEnSalon
We take the security of your personal data very seriously and follow strict data protection rules. Only that personal data which is necessary to operate this website is collected and we do not sell or pass that information on to any one else. The following explanation provides an overview of what information we collect, why it is collected and how we protect it.
Data processing on this site
The WaPPenSalon automatically collects the following information from your browser and stores it the site server log:
* browser type and version used
* operating system used
* the referring URL (the site that linked you to the WaPPenSalon)
* the hostname (IP address) of the computer linking to the WaPPenSalon
* time of the server inquiry
This information is used to generate web statistics about how our site is used and is then deleted.
Cookies
Like most other Internet sites, the WaPPenSalon uses cookies to help make the site safer and more-user friendly. Cookies are small text files which are sent to your computer and temporarily stored by your browser. Most of these files are “session cookies” that are automatically deleted once your visit to the WaPPenSalon is over. Cookies don’t damage your computer and contain no viruses.
Comments, E-Mail and Membership Registration Information
We capture and store information entered into this website or otherwise sent here. This includes, for example, names, comments, E-Mail addresses, and ULRs entered into the appropriate fields when you create a personal profile on the registration page. Much of the requested data is optional and is entered by the user voluntarily. You can enter an alias as your user name if you wish. Your user name/alias and public profile are made available for viewing when you become part of the WaPPenSalon community. Registration is voluntary, but it is necessary in order to download logo files, and requires at least a user name/alias and a valid E-Mail address.

Your confidence is important to me and I will make myself available at anytime to answer any questions you may have about the handling of your personal information. This is a privately maintained Internet site and it is not operated for any commercial purpose. We do not publish news or editorial items that could contribute to the forming of public opinion. We are simply interested in club logos and make them available for download for the following purposes:
* for use in graphical links to club sites
* for display in season tables
* for logo collectors
The WaPPenSalon is a not-for-profit site and we accept requests to re-work logos and the accompanying permission to display the finished work on the site in good faith assuming the sender is authorized to make the request and grant this permission. Although we hope it does not occur, if you find your club’s logo here and do not wish to have it displayed simply send us an E-Mail and it will be immediately removed.

While we are selective about the external links made available on this site, we cannot take responsibility for the contents of any linked site. The operator of an externally linked site is solely responsible for their site and its contents.
